Staff Development

Our staff is certified in CPR, First Aid and Mandatory Child Abuse Detection & Universal Precautions. Our staff is required to complete 6 to 10 hours of state certified continuing education each year. Staff members must also complete an additional 5 hours in the study of child development processes.

Curriculum & Training

Our Director of Curriculum & Training instructs employees on how to follow and implement all of Koalaty Time's policies and procedures insuring that our specifically designed curriculum is followed at all times.

Staff Background Investigation

Every employee, from Child Development Specialist to maintenance personnel, goes through a pre employment investigation to assure your child's protection. Koalaty Time requires every employee be screened through the Iowa Department of Public Health and the Iowa Department of Human Services pursuant to Chapter 692 Code of Iowa. Additional screening is conducted through the Child abuse Registry and the Iowa Department of Transportation, Motor Vehicle Division. Random Drug and Alcohol testing is also required.
